Group project for the Doritos King of Ads competition. I was responsible for editing, sound and special effects.
The advert had to be exactly 29 seconds which meant I needed to cut loads of the script out and speed little bits up, I tried to disguise this with TV noise and distortion effects but they're still visible. The audio needed to be cleaned up a bit as we were filming outside right next to the M25 and the A2, I also needed to sync the audio to the film as we recorded it separately as we shot on a Cannon 5D with poor sound capability, and I added some special effects noises too.
I rotoscoped the females left side frame by frame to go over the meteorite as this was before the awesome CS5 auto rotoscope tool was available, serious labour of love.
I used some green screened fire and smoke film footage.
